NightFuel — Support

Tap the Capture tab at the bottom of the screen. Speak or type your promise, then speak or type your first step — the one concrete thing you'll do to follow through. Set a reminder time and tap Save. That's it.

Yes. On the Capture screen, tap the microphone icon to record. NightFuel transcribes your recording automatically using Apple's on-device speech recognition. You can also type manually — both options are always available.

NightFuel sends a local notification at the time you chose when saving your promise. You can set a default reminder time in Settings, or pick a custom time per promise.

Your completion window opens. You'll get a notification showing your promise and the time your window closes. Tap it to open the promise — you'll see your promise text, your first step, and your original recording if you used your voice. Tap Yes, I did it to mark it complete. If the window closes before you do, the promise is automatically marked missed.

The completion window is how long you have to follow through after a reminder fires. You choose the window length (1–12 hours) when you save each promise, and you can set a default in Settings. When the window closes, a second notification fires and any unfollowed promise is automatically marked missed. There's no extension — commit to the window when you're motivated to.

Yes. Tap any promise in the Promises list to open it. If you recorded audio, you'll see a Listen to audio button below the promise text and another below your first step. Tap to play, tap again to stop.

To delete everything, go to Settings → Clear all data.

Everything — promise text, voice recordings, reminder times, and follow-through status — is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Check that NightFuel has been granted Microphone and Speech Recognition access. Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone (and Speech Recognition) and make sure NightFuel is enabled. You can also check permission status in NightFuel's own Settings tab. If transcription still fails, you can always type your promise manually.

Go to iOS Settings → Notifications → NightFuel and make sure notifications are allowed. If you use Focus modes, check that NightFuel is permitted to break through. You can also verify notification permission status in NightFuel's Settings tab.

Pending — saved, waiting for the reminder time. Reminded — the reminder has fired and the completion window is counting down. Completed — you marked it done. Missed — the window closed before you followed through.
